Friends of Lekker Passport™

The Lekker Family: Lekker Passport, Beer Passport, Digital Pass, and Coffee Passport.

Helping keep the journey grounded.

Lekker Passport™ isn’t curated from behind a desk.

With thousands of local places across South Africa, it can only exist if it’s shaped by people who are actually out there — on the road, in the queue, having the conversations.

That’s why Friends of Lekker Passport™ exists.

What this is

Friends of Lekker Passport™ is a small group of trusted explorers who help keep the project honest, relevant, and rooted in real experience.

This is not a fan club.
It’s not crowdsourcing.
And it’s not about scale.
It’s about stewardship.

What Friends help with

Friends support the project by helping to:

  • recommend places worth including
  • flag changes, closures, or drift
  • help vet and introduce new Lekker outlets
  • protect the tone, values, and intent of the movement

Not by voting.
Not by ranking.
But by sharing context and lived experience.

Who this is for

Friends are people who:

  • spend time on the road
  • care about small towns and local places
  • value context over hype
  • understand that not every good place needs to be listed

You don’t need to be everywhere.
You just need to notice properly where you are.

What Friends receive

As a thank you, Friends receive:

  • ongoing access to the Lekker Map
  • early visibility into new places and routes
  • a complimentary printed Lekker Passport™
  • a direct line to help shape how the project grows

This is not a rewards programme.

It’s participation.

Membership

Friends of Lekker Passport™ R500 per year

Membership is:

  • optional
  • chosen
  • limited by design

It exists to support the work that goes into curating, vetting, and guiding Lekker Passport™ — so it stays useful, trusted, and human.

A final word

Lekker Passport™ only works if it stays grounded in real places and real people.

Friends help make sure it does.

If this resonates, you’ll know what to do.

🤙
